This Year's Fiesta... Our Best Ever!

On Friday night, the 32nd Word's Greatest Fiesta was held at Aji 10 Restaurant and Mojito Bar in Norwalk. More than 80 people attended the event and without a doubt... it was our best ever!

The auction items were fabulous thanks to the hard work of our board and especially Catharine Sturgess. The food got rave reviews. The music by Jim Clark was cool. The crowd was excited and happy. And we topped all fundraising goals so the children in Nagarote can continue to learn, grow, serve and lead.

Super thanks to Fiesta Chair, Priscilla Woyke, and her trusty techy husband, John Woyke, as well as Honorary Chair, Lucia Rilling.

It was so good to see so many friends, new and old, including our former Field Director based in Nicaragua from 1992 to 1997, Jonah Gensler, who came all the way from New Jersey. Jonah reminded me that the current Mayor of Nagarote was a kid in our program during his time there.

We do have a history and a future and we deeply appreciate your support!

With gratitude,

MUCHAS GRACIAS!
